Data Collection Techniques
We collect data from multiple sources to ensure a complete picture of the current and future workforce. Our main techniques include:

How We Collect Marketing Data
- Surveys and Questionnaires
- Focus Group Discussions
- Labour Market Information (LMI)
- Online Learning Analytics
- National Census and Youth Statistics
We design and distribute structured surveys and questionnaires to a broad range of stakeholders, including employers, current trainees, graduates, and industry leaders.
These tools help us gather both quantitative and qualitative data on current skills, training gaps, employment readiness, and digital literacy. By reaching out to participants across different sectors and regions, we ensure that the insights we collect are representative and reflective of real market needs.
Focus group discussions provide deeper, more nuanced insights into workforce challenges. We regularly organize moderated group sessions with job seekers, youth groups, training providers, and educational institutions.
These discussions reveal: personal experiences, barriers to employment, perceptions of training effectiveness and emerging workforce expectations.
FGDs are especially useful for uncovering context-specific insights that structured surveys may overlook.
We leverage Labour Market Information (LMI) from credible sources such as government ministries, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and industry associations.
This data includes employment trends, sector growth forecasts, wage patterns, and occupational profiles.
By analyzing LMI, we align our programs with national development goals and ensure our interventions are timely and relevant to the evolving job market.
Our digital training platforms and tools generate rich data on learner engagement, course completion rates, assessment performance, and behavior patterns.
These online learning analytics allow us to evaluate the effectiveness of our training content, identify areas for improvement, and personalize learning experiences.
They also help us track learner progress in real time and inform adaptive strategies to increase knowledge retention.
We integrate official national census data and youth-focused statistics into our regional and national planning processes.
This includes demographic trends, literacy rates, employment levels, and regional disparities in digital access.
These datasets provide a foundational understanding of Kenya’s workforce distribution and allow us to tailor our interventions to meet the unique needs of different counties and communities.
